How does the subscription work?

Each subscription includes one letter per month, mailed via Australia Post. Letters are mailed once a month, early in the month. If you sign up after the 5th, your first letter will be posted within 3-7 business days. Billing occurs on the 5th of each month. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

Who are the letters for?

Our letters are primarily designed for children aged 6-12, but curious adults are more than welcome aboard. Many families enjoy reading the letters together, and for younger explorers, they make wonderful bedtime stories.

How are letters sent?

All letters are sent via Australia Post using standard, untracked mail. Tracking numbers are not available and delivery times can vary depending on location and postal conditions.

What if a letter goes missing?

If your letter has not arrived after 30 days, please get in touch at truebluepenpals@gmail.com. As long as the mailing address on your account is correct, we are happy to help and may offer a replacement letter where appropriate.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time by emailing truebluepenpals@gmail.com. To avoid the next charge, cancellations must be received before the 5th of the month. You will still receive any letters already paid for.

Monthly subscriptions are billed on the 5th of each month. 6-month subscriptions are charged in full at checkout and renew every 6 months. 12-month subscriptions are charged in full at checkout and renew annually.

Can I give this as a gift?

Yes! We offer gift cards in three options: Monthly, 6-month, and 12-month gift subscriptions, perfect for birthdays, Christmas, or surprise mail joy. Gift cards are non-renewing. Once the gifted period ends, letters will stop automatically.

What kind of content is inside the letters?

Each letter explores a different Australian location, is written from an explorer's point of view, is educational, age-appropriate, and non-political, and contains no advertising or third-party inserts.

How does True Blue Pen Pals handle children's privacy?

We only collect a child's first name and birth month if provided. We do not create profiles on children, do not use children's details for marketing, and never sell or trade personal information. All personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Do you offer refunds?

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, partial use, or unused subscription periods. This policy operates in line with Australian Consumer Law, which always applies.
